For entry level yes some jobs have down time. You can take advantage of it or make a good impression with your boss and ask for more work or make an even better impression by finding something that needs to be done and just doing it (like organizing files etc).

Well it is thanksgiving in the US, so if the company is based in the US, that might be the reason there’s no work today.
Ah, that might be it, then. It is based in the US but I’m working out of an international office.
